Introducing the MLOCFC Argonauts Coterie Group In Search Of the Golden Fleece

Jason assembled a great group of heroes, known as the Argonauts after their ship, the Argo.  In Greek mythology, the Golden Fleece (Greek: Χρυσόμαλλον Δέρας; Georgian: ოქროს აწმისი) is the fleece of the gold-haired Winged Ram, which can be procured in Colchis. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason)

Mike Napoleone Profile

Proudly introducing the founding member of the Argonauts coterie group, please meet Mike Napoleone. 

Mike played footy with the Mt Lilydale Old Collegians for three years, but no one would argue that Mike’s greatest contribution to the club and by definition to his community has been in his past player role where his obligations have been to ensuring the Club remains in first class order and capable of moving forward at every post. 

His dedication has manifested into one of the Clubs longest term sponsorships with his family group of companies such as Red Rich Orchards, Punt Road Wines and his latest delicacy for all the food buffs out there, Napoleone & Co Cider all playing a major role in responding to our Clubs needs.  It is interesting to note that even when Mike was unavailable for active duty due to the flourishing of new Napoleones to the Yarra Valley, he kept his sponsorship commitments in place for those 4 years never swerving in has commitment.

As soon as he was able to get a leave pass from the home front and work trenches alike, Mike saddled up for two years of presidency in which the Club prospered by winning our first Flag.

Mikes contribution to our Club cannot be overstated and the old band of Argonauts all in search of our next Golden Fleece look forward to Mike’s compony and fellowship well into the future.
